Tell us about your career path since graduating from Point Park University.

My career path has taken me to a lot of interesting and fun places. After graduating from Point Park University, I decided to pursue a Master’s in Media Production from Central Michigan University. My career path then led me to the following opportunities:

How did you land your job with the Detroit Pistons and what are your key responsibilities?

I believe I landed my current job because of my education and experiences in the field. I also made sure to have a clean and concise resume as well as a solid demo reel.

My key responsibilities vary. I do a lot of writing, shooting, and editing pieces for various outlets including broadcast, web, social, and in-arena use. I also help produce the live in-arena video board show for all home games.

What advice do you have for someone considering Point Park?

If you are interested in studying video production, I don't think you can make a better choice for your future than to enroll at Point Park. Their facilities are second-to-none and being right in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh will grant you so many opportunities for internships

Final thoughts?

If I learned anything throughout my career thus far, it’s don't be afraid to take some chances with your career. Be willing to move and be ready to put in a lot of work to prove yourself. But more than anything, find a job that is fun for you and makes you happy. Happiness is everything!
